Hello! First off, thank you so much for being here. I love trying new things, pushing boundaries, and always being a kid at heart. The picture on the left captures my whole world. My husband and I started dating at 15 and we have been best friends ever since. In 2019 we welcomed Audrey to the world and in 2017 Dawson completed our family. 

I graduated from Western Washington University with a very unconventional double major.  I have a degree in Physical Education and Health, and added on a second degree in English Language Arts. I was the first and last person at the University to obtain that particular double major. 

I have been a PE teacher for the last 12 years and it is my dream job. I love my job more than I knew possible, but I have always had a creative writing itch that wouldn't go away. 

Enter a moment in time that was very challenging, my dad was diagnosed with cancer.  Writing was a way of escaping my sadness and heartache to create something beautiful and meaningful. 

This is where Page Pal Books makes its entrance. My kids and I would write short stories together and find joy, laughter, and learning. I wanted to expand on this experience and create books that build my children's confidence in reading while also enriching their vocabulary while I read to them. 

My very first book "A Hug For Your Heart" is about a dad and a daughter, Ray and Kay (my dad and I). They take on big emotions together and find the beauty in support rather than solitude.
